What this site is
This is a personal blog by Chris Camacho with a public chat attached to each post. There is no account system, no login, and I don't sell personal information.
What I collect
- Chat messages you send (username and text)
- Username you choose (stored in a cookie and database)
- IP address for basic abuse prevention
- Language preference cookie
- Theme preference cookie
- Anonymous analytics via Umami (no cookies, no cross-site tracking)
How I use it
- Display chat messages to other visitors
- Keep the chat running and prevent spam/abuse
- Remember your language and theme preferences
What I don't do
- I don't sell your data
- I don't run ads
- I don't use third-party tracking cookies
- I don't require registration
Your messages
Messages you send to the public chat are public by design. They may be visible to anyone who visits the site. I may remove messages that violate basic community rules (spam, harassment, illegal content).
Analytics
This site uses Umami Analytics, a privacy-focused alternative to Google Analytics. Umami does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information.
Changes
If this policy changes, I'll update this page. Last updated: September 2026.
