Back then I was making AMVs (Anime Music Videos) roughly one every two months. YouTube was strict about copyright, so I posted them straight to Facebook. Nothing happened, no alarms went off.
This one is with Witchcraft by Pendulum, a song I listened to a lot back then, set to Hyouka, an anime I was getting hooked on at that moment.
I didn't understand English. In middle school and high school it was barely spoken; it was just to pass the exam. I listened to the song for the tune, the voice, the instruments, the melody, and mostly the rhythm. I didn't know what the lyrics said, and I didn't even have the cultural understanding to know what they referred to. I just listened, liked it, mixed it with an anime, and saw what came out.
I didn't know if what I posted resonated with anyone else. It was a blind AMV, made from whatever sounded nice and whatever looked good on screen. Later I started discovering other nuances that had to go into AMVs, and my perfectionism kicked in and decided not to keep going.
Yoseline Osuna Tirado: That turned out really well, I wish I could make a video like that xD
